Let
me introduce myself: my name is Lyle Engleson,
the CEO of Audio Profiles and its master
diagrammer. Three years ago I took my
new Dodge Ram truck into Traffic
Jamz of Encino, CA for a simple custom
sound system and left with an ass-kicking
competition system. The day I picked up
my Ram from the shop I was well on my
way to becoming a tweaker and haven't
looked back since. My truck soon became
a demo vehicle at sound-offs around Southern
CA. During my travels I was introduced
to some serious competitors, including
a few of the Big Boys (Earl Wills and
Eric Stevens to name a few).
Well, I consider myself an intelligent
man, but one thing baffled me: what the
hell were those rinkie-dink-hand-drawn-line-thingies
in everyone's judges books (and a few
cars)? I came to find out they were the
signal flow diagrams that represented
these mega-buck, mega-man hours, dB pounding
sound systems. The earth stood still for
a multi-second (or something like that)
the day I realized that one of my many
missions in life was to bring the prehistoric
system diagram into the 21st century (and
what the heck, have a little fun along
the way).
And that's how Audio Profiles emerged
from the dust of prehistoric rinkie-dink-hand
-drawn-line-thingies. Really.
One more thing while I'm on a roll: be
a true friend to your mega-buck, mega-man
hours, dB-pounding sound system. Sit back
and leave the diagramming to us.
